Its been a while...

So, it has been a LONG time since we last posted to our blog, and we're very sorry. Been working on the website, Facebook, and making connections and cakes! Speaking of cakes, here are samples of some of the work we have done since the last post!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! My first attempt at basketweave...pretty simple!
Carrot cake (of course!) with cream cheese frosting. DELICIOUS!

Alex's Birthday

Alex loves Mario. Alex turned 16. Therefore, Alex got a 16th birthday Mario cake. (No actual Mario, I ran out of time.)

Nurse's Cake

My husband was recently in the hospital for lyme. I made this to thank the nurses for taking care of him.

St. Patrick's Day 2010

I made this cake, with a full round cake at the top for the pot of gold. This is so much fun making these cakes for every occassion! This one was my best so far (so my husband says), and the most fun to make. I liked experimenting with the fondant over the pot of gold. Easy once you get the hang of it!

Mom's Birthday

My mom's favorite flowers are carnations, so I learned how to make them out of gum paste for her. We all tried eating one, not the best tasting things in the world, but so fun to make (and pretty easy!)

First Baby Shower Cake

This was the first cake I made for someone I didn't know. Talk about PRESSURE! It was so much fun to make the baby for the top, and to tie it all in together. What a blast!

Jenny's Birthday

I made this cake for my friend Jenny's birthday. It was my first attempt at a cake fully covered in fondant with fondant accents. It was a big hit and SOOOO much fun to make!

Welcome to my Blog!

Here I will post photos of cakes I have made, and interesting bits about me, my family, my cakes, and other interesting things. I hope you check back often! Thanks for coming!
